Responsibilities:

1. Provide support, coaching, advice and act as the first point of contact in human resources matters with managers and employees.
2. Support managers in various (non-unionised) employee relations matters such as performance management, employee retention, workforce planning, attendance management, conflict management, skills development, harassment complaints, performance appraisals, etc.
3. Lead the complete staffing cycle (job posting, telephone interviews, sorting of applications, interviews, reference taking, confirmation or refusal of hiring, onboarding and integration).
4. Participate in the development and updating of policies, employee handbooks and human resources management procedures.
5. Ensure compliance with labour laws, internal policies and best HR practices.
6. Establish partnerships with all levels of employees and managers within the organisation.
7. Participate in and contribute to human resources projects.
8. Effectively navigate the HR Systems (BambooHR, Nethris, Synerion) to provide timely assistance to managers and employees.
9. Ensure HR systems are up to date and use HR data to provide actionable information, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
10. Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and manage CNESST and disability files, investigations and progressive returns.
11. Perform administrative tasks (documenting absences, preparing various reports, data entry, coordinating and organising training as required, validating hours entered into the payroll system, etc.).
12. Perform any other related tasks.

YOUR PROFILE:

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations.
2. Human Resources Professional designation and certifications (an asset).

Qualifications and skills required:

1. Minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience in a generalist role in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
2. Working knowledge of all HR disciplines (compensation, employee relations, diversity, attendance and performance management, recruitment, etc.).
3. Working knowledge and understanding of provincial legislation and regulations, including labour standards and CNESST legislation, policies and regulations.
4. Ability to manage several files and requests simultaneously.
5. Ability to establish and maintain business partnerships and harmonious relationships with all levels of employees.
6. Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is necessary to ensure regular collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Coaching and support skills.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (presentation).
10. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
11. Excellent judgement and organisational skills.
12. Proven ability to work both independently and with others.
13. Discretion with confidential files.
14. Ability to adapt to frequent changes.
15. Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
