Dunphy Best Blocksom LLP is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, and culture-building for our team of 29 lawyers and 30 staff.

What You’ll Do

- Lead full-cycle recruitment, build a strong candidate pool, and manage onboarding/offboarding
- Support employees and leadership with employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance processes
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Standards and maintain accurate HR records
- Assist with payroll updates, benefits administration, and compensation reviews
- Coordinate training, development, and mentorship initiatives
- Support workforce planning, staffing analysis, and leave management
- Maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and contribute to policy updates
- Prepare HR metrics, reporting, and assist with budget-related tracking

What You Bring

- Experience in HR, or people-focused roles (legal or professional services background is an asset)
- Strong understanding of Alberta Employment Standards
- Excellent communication skills, discretion, and comfort handling confidential or sensitive matters
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, people-centered mindset with solid problem-solving abilities
- CPHR designation or interest in pursuing it is considered an advantage
