**Description**: The Sales manager is responsible for managing existing client relationships and developing new sales for Independent and Group Travel in French-speaking markets (Quebec, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg). You will work closely with the Director Group Operations and Sales, the VP Sales and Operations and the VP Global Sales and will work very closely with Inside Sales Account Managers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Create Sales Action Plan and target lists for Group and Independent sales.
- Assist with annual sales revenue forecasting.
- Manage existing client relationships though regular communication, sales visits and trade shows, as required (5 to 6 weeks of travel per year).
- Provide competitor and market feedback, including product, price and brochure analysis.
- Provide assessment of new revenue growth opportunities in France, Belgium and Luxemburg.
- Prepare market reports and sales action plans.
- Review weekly and monthly statistical analysis of market performance and develop action plans accordingly.
- Build and maintain relationships with Destination Marketing Organizations.
**Group Sales**
- Retain existing Group business.
- Qualify and Secure new Group Series and Ad Hoc Group business.
- Client follow-up (close sales and problem-solving) in close liaison with Group Planning and Sales Department.
**Independent Travel**
- Secure and maintain long-term contracts with tour operator partners.
- Qualify and secure new clients.
- Product placement and client follow-up (close sales and problem-solving) in close liaison with Inside Sales Department.
- Maintain client profiles’ contractual information.
- Increase booking utilization of Jonview Web and Host to Host reservation connections.
- Account maintenance including Tour Operator staff training for product and web booking platform.
**Position Requirements**
- Minimum 5 years Tour Operator Experience.
- Minimum 2 years at a supervisor/management level.
- College or University Degree.
- Education in a Business-related discipline such as Sales, Marketing, or education in Tourism Management.
- Fluency in English, and French both spoken and written.
- Well established Leadership and Management Skills required.
- Strategic Planning & Business Planning skills required.
- Strong communications and personnel management skills.
- Strong computer skills in - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Contact Management Software.
- Excellent Time management skills.
- Proven track record on project management and meeting deadlines.
- Proven track record on building and managing client relationships.
- International travel experience is an asset.
