Accounts Receivable Specialist

Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team in London ON. We are looking for a safety inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community

Main Accountabilities
- Reconcile customer account discrepancies, over/under payments, credits, etc.
- Record adjustment entries on customer accounts
- Contact credit references, and/or obtain and review customer credit history through Equifax
- Prepare monthly AR reports for collections meeting
- Process monthly billing for assigned district(s)
- Liaise with sales representatives to review status of customer accounts, i.e. outstanding adjustments, suspensions, legal/liquidated damages, closed accounts, etc.
- Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Controller

If you have the following skills and experience, we would like to hear from you:

- Post-Secondary School degree/diploma is preferred with courses in accounting
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people
- Two years experience in the collection of both commercial and consumer accounts is preferred
- Great Interpersonal and Time Management skills
