**About the Job**

A community development coordinator for Alberta Team Handball Federation will work directly with schools to teach and educate the game of Handball. The board has put a major focus on growing Handball in Alberta at the grassroots level. The community development Coordinator will be a key role to promote the game to children from 10 years old (Elementary) - 18 years old (High School). Promotion will be accomplished via: Try-It days, school clinics, coaching courses, etc.

- Work with schools to develop partnerships
- Visit schools and teach handball
- Look for new schools to work with
- Plan, coordinate, and execute visits
- Facilitate and teach online sessions
- Host events for schools
- Provide monthly reports for the Board of Directors
- Attend conventions
- Loves Sport (Handball Experience not necessary)
- Post secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- Loves working with kids
- Is enthusiastic and a self starter attitude
- Has a valid driver license without any major violations in the last 3 years
- Must have access to a personal vehicle during the day
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Technology proficient

Handball, also referred to as Team Handball, is a fast and dynamic sport that is mostly played in Europe. Handball in Alberta grows every year and Handball Alberta is the second biggest Handball organization in Canada. Our goal is to be the best and biggest handball organization in North America. Alberta Team Handball Federation has a culture of winning many national championships and providing great players to Canada’s national team and overseas to play professionally.

Role Benefits
- Base salary of 40 to 50k depending on education and experience
