JOB PURPOSE:

  • Boyle Street Community Services is looking for an Internal Communications Coordinator
- to support the Communications Team with internal newsletters, change management, Support Services (HR)
- initiatives
- ,
- and other communications duties as needed.

  • This is a temporary fulltime position
- with the possibility of extension.

  • This role will be focused on writing and developing
- stories for internal and external audiences
- with newsletters, blogs, social media, and other tactics.

  • This position will also support the ongoing, daytoday work between Communications
- and Supp
- ort Services teams

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source
and
write
organizational
stories
for various platforms

  • Interviewing for and writing blog content about programs and services.
  • Developing and creating content for our newsletter.
  • May write media releases, advisories, statements, etc., as
required

  • Assist
in internal communication endeavors.

  • Other duties as
required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-Secondary degree in En
glish, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- - 5
years' experience in writing for multiple audiences

  • 12 years' experience
in a communications role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills to manage diverse responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong, trusting relationships with all levels within the organization.
  • Skill with a range of communication tools.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A strong commitment to upholding the guiding philosophies,
value
and beliefs of BSCS

  • Enhanced Security Clearance conducted by Edmonton Police Service and Child Intervention Check
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
