**Position Title**: Events Sales Manager

**Status**: Full-time, One Year Contract

**Hours**: 40 hours/week (Regular Weekend, Occasional Evening work required to accommodate tours)

**Regular Hours & Shifts**:Wednesday through Sunday, 9am-5pm daily

Our establishment offers a range of stunning onsite venue spaces, coupled with a reputation for providing top-tier catering services for offsite events in collaboration with our esteemed event venue partners. We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Event Sales Manager to drive our sales efforts and foster lasting relationships within the events industry.

**Position Summary**:
The Events Sales Manager will drive sales, foster client relationships, and maximize revenue opportunities for our venue spaces and offsite catering services. This individual will work with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions through the sales phase from proposal to contract signing.

Reporting to the Director of Sales the Events Sales Manager will utilize their passion, skills, and industry experience to book and increase business through the development of new opportunities and active follow up of current inquiries propelling clients to and through the contract signing stage. Once a contract has been signed assist with transitioning the client to their assigned Event Coordinator who will assume responsibility of coordinating the event with the Client.

A base annual salary will be in place in addition to a commission bonus structure. This position is a one year contract posting with potential to be extended.

**Summary of Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for booking and increasing Wedding and Catering business through the development and execution of new sales and active follow up of current inquiries to meet and exceed targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities including representing the Hotel at various industry tradeshow and events.
- Conduct in person venue tours (at the Hotel and offsite) and coordinate phone/virtual appointments with clients to share and discuss potential venue spaces, understand the client’s event needs, budgets, and recommend services accordingly
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients including negotiating and closing business.
- Utilize efficient sales strategies to upsell client experiences and maximize food and beverage, spa, and other Hotel revenue to the utmost potential
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the sales cycle and how to guide clients to progress swiftly through each stage, fostering engagement and momentum in the sales journey
- Nurture and maintain relationships with wedding planners and vendor relationships (strong Greater Toronto Area relationships important) to promote referrals to our multiple wedding and event venues
- Understands significance of responding to sales leads and client inquiries within the same day or within 24 hours to uphold exceptional responsiveness and service standards
- Accurately gather, record, and share all necessary information to confidently communicate event details and client vision to the Event Coordinator in order to seamlessly transition into the event planning and execution stages
- Contribute to the development of sales plan and strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market reach
- Coordinate internally with the Chef, Food & Beverage Team, Front Desk and other teams when needed to facilitate negotiations and secure business opportunities.
- Regularly populate and maintain sales reports to demonstrate progress towards sales targets and to identify potential obstacles to closing business.
- Conduct post-event client follow ups to gather feedback for enhancing our offerings and services. Share positive feedback internally and encourage clients to leave reviews on Hotel’s various platforms to promote confidence in our services.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, event venues, and other partners to expand the company's brand and network

- Stay updated on current trends, new ideas, and service standards within the event industry and propose new ideas to improve our services, event quality, and depart
