The** Ontario Securities Commission (OSC)** is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontario’s capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. The Commission’s mandate is to provide protection to investors from unfair, improper or fraudulent practices, to foster fair and efficient capital markets and confidence in capital markets, to foster capital formation and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk.

**The Information Services Group is a part of the **Corporate Services Branch **and supports the full spectrum of OSC employees' information needs, ensuring that the organization can effectively regulate Ontario's capital market. Specifically, Information Services is responsible for system development and support, training, records and information management, and research and library services. Branch staff partner with managers and directors to develop solutions that both streamline operations and consolidate efforts to best effect across all points of information management and information technology.

The **User Account Administrator** will be accountable for ensuring that access changes to systems conform to OSC security standards, practices and audit controls by completing the addition/deletion/modification and tracking of user accounts across multiple systems, and making scheduled account changes on time. They will contribute to the development of practices, procedures, documentation, and communications when implementing account management for a new system and will prepare and maintain documentation for account management procedures. Additional duties include the servicing of ad hoc account requests in a responsive and timely manner, the monitoring of system accounts and preparation of various reports on user accounts and transactions, as well as the co-ordination of audits as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Complete the addition/deletion/modification and tracking of user accounts across multiple systems.
- Complete scheduled account changes on time (e.g. staff departures).
- Service ad hoc account requests in a responsive and timely manner.
- Ensure that access changes to systems conform to OSC security standards, practices and audit controls.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for account management procedures.
- Develop practices, procedures, documentation and communications when implementing account management for a new system.
- Monitor system accounts as needed and prepare various reports on user accounts and transactions.
- Co-ordinate audits as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 year diploma or degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Directly relevant experience in an IT environment.
- Ability to learn new systems and grasp new concepts quickly.
- Good understanding of OSC’s organizational structure and business processes.
- Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
