**Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator**:
The Vancouver Society of Children’s Centres (VSOCC) is a non-profit organization providing licensed childcare services, and has been serving families with young children since 1995.

VSOCC is seeking a full-time Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to oversee, coordinate and implement building and equipment maintenance at 16 VSOCC-operated facilities including cleaning & janitorial services, garbage/recycling services, security systems, life safety systems, appliances, plumbing, carpentry, painting, furniture, landscape and playground maintenance. This includes overall responsibility for planning, monitoring and implementing weekly, monthly and seasonal maintenance priorities.

**You are able to**:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of furnishings, equipment and building environments at childcare centres to ensure health, safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess condition and needs of facilities and equipment, and plan, coordinate and oversee facility repairs and projects
- Coordinate building maintenance work, schedules and services.
- Liaise with contractors, property managers, suppliers and vendors.
- Provide guidance and supervision to contractors and the Maintenance Worker, and covers for the Maintenance when on leave.
- Respond to urgent maintenance calls and emergencies.
- Manage equipment and supply needs including furniture, appliances, tools and materials.
- Perform some maintenance tasks and repairs (ie. Changes to light bulbs, repairs to furnishings and equipment, assembly of furniture & equipment)
- Maintain and monitor maintenance records.

**You will have**:

- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in building maintenance, general construction, and/or carpentry.
- High school diploma, plus related vocational training such as a building maintenance course, carpentry or other
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and coordination skills.
- Required certifications: First Aid Level 1 & CPR Certification; WHMIS Training; Current BC Class 5 Drivers License
- Must have a pick-up truck for work purposes.
- Experience working at multiple sites (an asset)

**Terms of Employment**:Permanent full-time 37.5 hours per week position

**Salary**: $68,250 + Health & Dental benefits, RRSP contribution, Use of vehicle allowance
- Starting: As Soon As Possible
