Sales Specialist

**SCOPE**
A unique opportunity to be part of an above premium international beer launch in Canada, we are looking for a Brand Ambassador for Ontario who will also have sales targets. We believe in our premium Spanish lager and our people. Our unique partnership with Molson Coors and proposition is to make a positive change in the hospitality community through collaboration and win win scenarios. We are looking for a motivated, influential, creative, entrepreneurial individual who is a passionate self-starter, one who loves & respects the hospitality industry. If you want to be part of a disruptive sales team and have the courage to explore untapped opportunities to drive awareness & volume for a new beer brand, we would like to hear from you Reporting directly to Hive agency's VP Business Development - and interacts with Molson Coors Brand and Field Sales teams, the Ambassador / Hunter will work to jump start the distribution and activation of this new brand launch within a designated territory. The role will be based in Toronto with travel to other major city centers in Ontario. Specific neighbourhoods and account types will be targeted for brand fit. The Ambassador / Hunter will seek out net new business in a specific category of bars, venues and restaurants and will support Molson Coors in distribution and revenue growth in targeted city centers.
Primary brand/SKU responsibility will be draught (20L kegs) and canned packages only, not bottles.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Become an in-field product expert and identify opportunities in new accounts outside of the current Molson account base (minimum of 5 calls/day)
- Acquisition of new partners or customers (e.g. hotels, venues, cocktail bars, etc.)
- Support new acquisitions with basic experiential, education & visibility items
- Leverage selling resources to support KPIs at accounts, including brand execution, staff training, food pairings, and brand stories
- Accountable for execution and measurement of KPI’s (distribution, visibility, quality, and activations)
- Build & develop relationships with a focus on influential accounts to increase brand visibility, awareness, promotional activity, and ultimately retail conversion
- Collaborate with Molson Coors reps to ensure focus on our Spanish lager at accounts through regular communication within the account base
- Collect and report on market insights & competitive intelligence including craft and other premium import trends
- Complete CRM and submit reporting on all executed activities and programs
- Maintain and submit a monthly activity plan specifically relating to assigned KPIs (key performance indicators)
- Conduct product knowledge seminars to customers/consumers
- Identify, secure, and assist in the execution of localized strategic sponsorships to drive awareness & visibility
**Professional Skills & Requirements**:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales or marketing experience
- Valid Driver’s license and vehicle - a current abstract will be a condition of employment
- Experience in the beverage alcohol industry, craft or import beer market, or in hospitality/food and beverage are all considered strong assets
- Must be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a regional plan
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Outstanding time management and multi-tasking capabilities
- Core Selling & Negotiation Skills
- Spanish bilingualism is considered an asset
- Ability to Drive Execution Standards
- Ability to grasp brand strategies to create tools and tactics for execution
- Capable of building effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders in both sales and marketing to drive the execution plan forward
- The Spanish lager Ambassador / Hunter will be motivated to work for a leading global brand delivering flawless execution in targeted cities throughout Ontario
**Additional Details**:
- Flexible schedule (some nights and weekends, it's the beer business)
- Must love restaurants and bars, hospitality in general
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Organization/Time Management skills are a must
- Working knowledge and experience with MS Excel is considered an asset
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle
