**Overview**

Under the leadership of the **Regional Sales Director - GTA Builder Division**, the Builder Specialist will be responsible for selling company products to achieve the GTA team’s annual Sales Budget and targets. The Builder Specialist is responsible for developing profitable relationships with all clients (dealers, builders, general contractors), while continuing to maintain a professional image for the Company.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Achieve and exceed GTA team’s sales targets and objectives.
- **Develop, maintain contact client base (dealer, builder, GC’s) on a prompt and regular basis to ensure excellent customer satisfaction, strong relationships, and create business for TORLYS.**:

- Seek market information on market conditions, competitive products, services and pricing, to share with team members
- Manage client expectations and handle issues and complaints professionally
- Sell and demonstrate TORLYS and TORLYS products, using samples, catalogues, tailored power point presentations, to emphasize saleable features to clients and secure business for TORLYS
- Prepare weekly reports of business highlights and communicate weekly to GTA team
- Maintain accurate records including sales call reports, expense reimbursement in Concur, billing invoices and other documentation.
- Identify new/prospective clients by using industry business directories, websites, TORLYS purchased market research information, following leads from existing clients, participating in industry organizations/associations and attending related trade shows and conferences.
- Team Player - supports ongoing GTA team efforts to grow sales (i.e. participation in joint sales presentations / sample drop offs / attending industry events).
- Follow all company policies and guidelines related to Health & Safety, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times
- Supports other business activities as assigned by manager.

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma.
- Secondary School or a University Degree/College Diploma an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience required, flooring and or builder industry experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
- Success in qualifying builder opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or passport.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**
- Work involves working some evenings and weekends.
- Work is performed primarily indoors in a home-office space within a controlled environment and involves sitting at a computer and driving to assigned account base.
- Frequent travel required to consult with clients/dealers, conduct demonstrations, attend meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.
- Set-up displays, which involves physical effort and use of basic hand tools.
- Frequent travel is required, often up to several hours of driving each day.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely.
