Seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant to provide administrative support in two well-established and fast-paced Family Physician offices operating within the London Family Health Team.

**Responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:

- Manage office reception including greeting, registering and directing patients to examination rooms
- Verify patient information and health card validity
- Schedule appointments based on triage priority
- Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls
- Assist with billing and payments (OHIP, WSIB and Third Party)
- Book referrals and diagnostic tests
- Obtain patient height, weight and blood pressure measurements
- Maintain office supply inventory

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Medical Office Administration diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a medical secretary in a family practice is a must
- Experience as a Medical Office Administrator/Medical Receptionist is preferred
- Experience and/or training with electronic medical record system (knowledge of TELUS Health PS Suite EMR is a definite asset)
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (ie. Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Professional, positive attitude and able to work fast and efficiently when required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Able to problem solve with initiative and work independently
- Able to use discretion, maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Respectful, kind and empathetic with a positive attitude
- Proficiency with medical terminology is an asset
- Passionate about health care

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
