**A Day in a life of.**

As the Category and Pricing Insights Intern you will support the two cannabis divisions (Medical & Adult Use Recreational) in conducting research and analysis that provide valuable data driven insights which ultimately assist in price changes, innovation pricing, product development, promotional execution, key initiative deployment, department development, and strategic alignment. A key part of the role involves pricing data management, tracking and updating pricing changes in the system as they are approved.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Work with the Sr. Analyst of Category and Pricing Insights to prepare regional pricing analysis for primary and secondary markets, and present research to cross-functional teams (marketing, sales) with the goal of aligning on pricing decisions
- Work with the Sr. Analyst of Category and Pricing Insights to align on pricing recommendations (MSRPs) for new product innovations, and calculate customer landed prices and revenue net of excise.
- Work with the Sr. Analyst of Category and Pricing Insights to present category analysis, product and sales insights to regional sales directors, key account managers, and brand managers
- Administration of approved price changes in our CRM (RootStock) and master spreadsheets
- Investigating pricing discrepancies and working with the Sr. Analyst and Sales team to adjust prices to match customer Purchase Orders
- Work with the Sr. Analyst to develop post-price-change analysis for past price changes
- Illicit market research and analysis
- Assisting with preparing regional category presentations and analysis
- Work with the BI (Business Intelligence) team on process improvements and dashboards; leverage existing dashboards and data sources when developing analysis and insights
- Special projects, presentations, and ad hoc analysis
- Periodic review of medical pricing, analysis
- Keep pricing files and approvals organized

**Qualifications**
- The ability to work with a wide variety of individuals within the organization and maintain regular contact with all stakeholders
- A high degree of self-motivation and discipline
- Knowledgeable about industry players, brands, and products
- Understand the fundamentals of economics (supply, demand, elasticity), accounting (COGs, margins, growth, price slope, breakeven)
- Adept at using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced)
- Computer savvy and data driven
- Strong work ethic and a learning mindset
- Effective time management skills
- Experience in CPG, at a cannabis LP, or at a cannabis retailer is an asset
- Experience with PowerBI is an asset
- Currently completing a post-secondary degree in business administration, data analytics, statistics, computer science, accounting, finance, marketing, or related field
