**A Day in a life of.**
- The Category & Sales Analyst will be a key contributing member of the Insights & Analytics team at Tilray. This position will lead category and portfolio strategy while working collaboratively with Sales & Marketing to develop go-to-market plans both nationally and regionally.

In addition to category, the individual will work directly with our sales leaders to provide insights, develop plans, and build performance reporting tools to effectively manage the strategic execution of go-to-market planning.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Portfolio & Category Management
- Develop and implement category strategies and plans to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Conduct market research, analyze trends, and competitor products to provide business direction on opportunities for product innovation, renovation, discontinuation, and portfolio optimization.
- Understand and improve upon company, brand, and regional portfolios by providing insights that assist with assortment planning, selection, and optimization.
- Conduct portfolio performance reviews that provide insight on the success of new innovations, product renovations, and seasonal campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing teams to develop plans to drive sales, increase brand visibility, and monitor key performance indicators.

Sales Analysis
- Develop a deep understanding of the major sales drivers of the company to support decision making through analytics.
- Produce, analyze, and maintain provincial sales data by SKU, Brand and Category; providing insight to market share, distribution, sales velocity, and emerging trends.
- Develop and maintain Key Account reports, monitor KPIs, and leverage the data to help improve Tilray Market Share.

Data & Reporting
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Assists in the development of the Company’s internal reporting systems and master data
- Work closely with sales teams to gather reporting requirements and build new reporting capabilities
- Build automated periodic sales reports to stakeholders, including insights and commentary on the company’s sales performance and variance to forecasts and budgets

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics/ Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an insights/ analytics function providing insights to internal or external clients
- Experience dealing with multiple sources of internal/ external, structured/ unstructured data
- Experience with Tableau, Access, or Alteryx.
- Advanced user of MS office suit (Excel: Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA) and SQL, Python
- Experience in retail/ CPG/ Alcohol industry is considered an asset
- Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all level of management.
