Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Technical Assistant **to join our team In this role you will get to **support technical and environmental activities in Western Canada**

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Assist with coordination of various site monitoring, investigation and remediation projects principally at active and vacant petroleum and chemical handling and storage properties.
- Ordering field supplies and preparing shipments related to field supplies, soil, groundwater and vapour samples.
- Work with project teams including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons and administrative staff using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure project tasks are completed on time and budget.
- Perform data entry and QA/QC for soil, groundwater and vapour laboratory data.
- Prepare project schedules, do-lists, health and safety plans, technical reports, memoranda and other project documentation.
- Preparing/editing boreholes logs (using gINT), equipment calibration and maintenance, and miscellaneous other duties.
- Periodic assistance with local field work, including groundwater/soil/soil vapour sampling.

**What Required Skills You’ll Bring**:

- An understanding of site assessment, remediation and/or laboratory experience would be an asset.
- A minimum, 2-year diploma or a degree in earth sciences or related disciplines.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast paced dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrates the values of safety, teamwork, service, integrity and accountability.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently in the office.
- A valid driver’s license.
