**Your Role at Greenland Garden Centre**:
The Human Resources Professional's role at Greenland Garden Centre is essential for maintaining a positive workplace culture. You will play a leading role in resolving conflicts and promoting harmony among staff. From managing the complete process of hiring and releasing seasonal employees to implementing HR strategies in line with organizational objectives, you will ensure seamless HR operations. With a primary focus on fostering engagement and managing talent, this individual plays a crucial role in cultivating our team's professional growth while upholding company values and goals.
**Role and Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Implement initiatives to uphold employee retention, engagement, and satisfaction, fostering a high-performing team culture and positive work environment.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.
- Oversee HR department responsibilities, including policy implementation/monitoring, employee relations, training, and development.
- Engage in conflict resolution, effective communication, performance evaluation, coaching, and feedback.
- Effectively manage terminations, off-boarding processes, and conduct exit interviews while ensuring adherence to procedural compliance.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing diverse HR tasks and challenges within a fast-paced retail setting.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma in the field of Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. CPHR designation completed or in progress is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated and progressive experience in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
