**Job Description Summary**:Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet has grown to include more than 30,5000 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 28 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food market.

Procor requires an individual to fill the position of HR Generalist based in the Sherwood Park location. This is a full-time position reporting to the HR Manager.

**Primary Shift Schedule**: Mon - Fri 08:00am - 5:00pm

***: Under broad supervision, provides HR support to business unit or corporate functional area which may include administering pre-employment compliance, employment and personnel documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. Acts as a liaison between departments/Companys, all levels of line and staff management, compensation and benefits department, legal counsel, and outside service providers.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Partner with HR Manager on issues involving Policies and procedures, compensation benefits administration, labour law compliance and employee relations.
- Develop and maintain a positive and proactive relationship with department management, front-line employees, and contractors.
- Serve as an important resource to the business in the interpretation of human resources policy and procedures, legal compliance, employment law etc.
- General HR administrative responsibilities including generating monthly/annual reports, HR analytics, etc.
- Supports HR Manager with the communication and rollout of HR programs and projects.
- Supports learning and development opportunities.
- Lead onboarding process for all new hires.
- Prepare counseling and discipline letters.
- Facilitate leaving filing and Return to Work program.
- Other duties as assigned.

**SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
- Exceptional experience with Workday and ADP Workforce Now
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to persuade.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of related Human Resources experience.
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventive labor relations.
- Experience in the administration of HR programs and policies.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Primarily remote working conditions (work from home) is able to work in a normal office environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to company sites and/or corporate office.
- Ability to work extended hours when needed.
