**Position Summary**
We are seeking a some with a Project Management background to deliver our PMGT 732 Microsoft Project course.

Project managers use Microsoft Project to create project plans and manage projects effectively. In this course, students learn to setup a project, create a well-structured task list and to use task dependencies to build a preliminary project schedule. The critical path and date constraints are used to manage the schedule as the project progresses. Resources are assigned to tasks and workloads are managed using a variety of views and resource leveling. Work, material and cost resources are used to develop the project cost estimate. Tracking progress on individual tasks and on the project overall keeps the project on schedule and within budget. Project managers learn how to manage the project effectively and to generate tailored reports that allow for the communication of relevant project information.
- Construct a complete project plan using MS Project including schedule, cost, and resource data.
- Compare various project plan reports and plan monitoring tools to suggest project execution adjustments needed to meet project targets
- Provide the necessary reports and status updates required for the project sponsor

**The course is 3-hours per week once per week. This position has delivery flexibility and can be delivered in-person (preferred), online/synchronous. Preference will be given to those who are willing to deliver in-person.**

**Responsibilities**
- Teach using a variety of strategies to support student-centered learning in an online environment.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication and knowledge of cultural competency in interactions with the public, colleagues, other professionals and students in internal and external educational and practice settings.
- Develop, revise and adapt appropriate learning resources for students.
- Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes using a variety of techniques.
- Engage students to create a positive teaching and learning environment.
- Work in a team-based environment.
- Use academic technology effectively to enhance and support learning.
- Provide and promote a respectful and supportive environment based upon the principles of inclusion, equity and diversity.
- Attend meetings and maintain records of student grades/assessments.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- MBA preferred in Business, Business Management and or Project Management
- PMP certification required to teach in the program
- Minimum of five years of related industry experience in Project Management
- Ability to teach and troubleshoot MS Project
- Ability to teach in a lab environment
- Proven teaching abilities (adult education or post-secondary level) and leadership skills with a commitment to academic excellence and student success is preferred.
