**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Teach using a variety of strategies to support student-centered learning.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication and knowledge of cultural competency in interactions with the public, colleagues, other professionals and students in internal and external educational and practice settings
- Develop, revise and adapt appropriate learning resources for students
- Evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes using a variety of techniques
- Engage students to create a positive teaching and learning environment
- Demonstrate an ability to work in a team-based work environment
- Use academic technology effectively to enhance and support learning
- Provide and promote a respectful and supportive environment based upon the principles of inclusion, equity and diversity
- Attend meetings and maintain records of student grades/assessments

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications; Master’s degree preferred.
- Three years of industry work experience in information technology (hardware, infrastructure) industry.
- Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following: computer networks, Windows/Linux operating systems, wireless networks, System/network security, network management, Telephony/VoIP, Data Centre/Cloud technologies and project management.
- Experience in teaching and course material development is an asset.
- Demonstrated competent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion to meet the needs of our diverse students, staff and college community.
