POSITION OVERVIEW
Join our growing team to support Canadian Entrepreneurs. We are looking for a team member to nurture and develop a portfolio within the automotive industry. This person will leverage and grow an existing book of business and establish their market presence within GTA West and GTA North. In this position, you will be providing business financing opportunities, as well as collaborate with the BDC Advisory team to offer tailored solutions to support their growth.
As a Commercial Account Manager, you will add your business development talent to grow and expand BDC’s client base.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying potential clients within the automotive industry through market research, networking, and targeted outreach to establish new business opportunities.- Client relationship management: Building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their financing needs, and providing personalized solutions to address their unique challenges.- Advisory: Collaborating with clients to understand their challenges and goals and offer expert advice.- Market research: Keeping abreast of the automotive manufacturing industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the commercial financing landscape to identify new market niches and opportunities.- Proposal development: Preparing persuasive proposals and presentations that showcase our financing products and advisory services, tailored to each client's requirements.- Collaborative teamwork: Partnering with our internal teams, including underwriters and credit analysts, to ensure seamless execution of financing solutions for our clients.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.- Specialization in automotive industry and understanding the complexities of the financing requirements are required.- Proven experience in business development, preferably within the commercial financing or financial services sector.- Demonstrated collaboration skills and avid connector able to create long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders and solid understanding of the region of GTA West and GTA North.- Being confident in your knowledge of commercial lending products, financing options, and credit analysis in the automotive industry- Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage and persuade potential clients effectively.- Someone who is curious and enjoys staying on top of the automotive industry trends.- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
