Established independent insurance brokerage seeking experienced Commercial Account Manager for managing a book of business, servicing clients efficiently and professionally, and growing business.
Job OverviewOur client, a leading Canadian insurance brokerage, is looking for a seasoned Commercial Account Manager to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a renewal book of business, working closely with producers and staff on client service, marketing, and renewal, and developing new business from existing accounts and leads.
Responsibilities- Manage a renewal book of business with high retention rates.
- Collaborate with producers and staff on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal.
- Initiate account planning with producers in advance of renewals.
- Develop comprehensive plans for existing clients and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare proposals for prospect and stewardship reviews for existing clients.
- Manage account documentation, including routine inquiries, quotes, binders, statements of values, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
- Review client coverage and exposures, loss experience, and analyze risk to determine product/service requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date workflow documentation and ensure workflows are followed.
- Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
- This is a hybrid position; must be able to work from our office 3 days per week.
- 10 years of experience as a broker with 5 years working on large commercial accounts.
- Solid understanding of policy wordings/coverages.
- Ability to mentor others and proven negotiation skills.
- RIBO License is required.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills.
- Annual salary: $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
