**ABOUT THE COMPANY**
Bay Events is a new business looking to grow our team. We are based in North Bay, Ontario, and service Northern Ontario. As an organization, we plan Weddings, Private Events and Corporate Events, and give our planners the flexibility to choose to specialize in one area (ie. just wedding planning) or remain general.

This is an incredibly unique position with a new, up-and-coming company. New hires would be brought on as a Junior Planner (depending on experience). This position offers an immense amount of flexibility, choosing when, how, and where you work. As a modern company, we believe in working as a team to create a strong support system, share ideas and resources, host socials, and create and maintain a strong culture within our company.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- have obtained their OSSD (high school graduate);
- have access to a vehicle;
- be comfortable working long hours on event days (10+ hours);
- have excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal);
- be personable, friendly, and outgoing;
- market yourself as an event planner through personal channels and Bay Events social platforms;
- be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated;
- have strong computer proficiency;
- handle long periods of walking, standing, etc. and be able to lift, bend, and pull;
- show consistent professionalism and good judgement; and
- be willing and able to work weekends and flexible hours.

Experience in event/wedding planning is an asset, but not required. We are open to welcoming new planners to the team to grow their knowledge, skills and experience.

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
