Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Executional Leadership: Develop and implement a robust fund development pipeline in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives. Lead the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives to secure support for housing projects and programs.
- Program Engagement and Stewardship: Cultivate and nurture relationships with a diverse range of donors and stakeholders, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. Implement best practices in donor stewardship to foster long-term engagement and support.
- Major Gifts: Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, creating personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies. Spearhead the annual giving program, identifying and engaging potential donors for legacy gifts.
- Corporate Partnerships and Grants: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate entities, securing funding and in-kind support. Oversee grant seeking activities, including research, proposal writing, and reporting.
- Special Events and Campaigns: Work with the Marketing team to plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns, maximizing revenue generation and donor engagement. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure effective promotion and success of these events.
- Project Management: Fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability across organizational development activations. Responsible for meeting clear Quarterly and annual goals and metrics, able to monitor progress to ensure achievement of development targets.
- Database and Records Management: Ensure accurate and timely input of donor information and interactions in the CRM database. Generate reports to track fundraising progress and inform strategic decisions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments and the leadership team to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising and development activities. Represent Habitat for Humanity Greater Vancouver at public events, enhancing the organization’s visibility and donor base.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level fund development experience in the non-profit sector, preferably in housing or related fields.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful fundraising strategies, including major gift, corporate partnerships, and grants.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of donors and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to developing team members.
- Proficiency in CRM and database management, preferably with experience in Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission and values.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
