**Job Overview**:
The Inventory Task Specialist role is a frontline position that is focused on driving inventory excellence and customer service. The position works to improve in-store inventory accuracy by conducting counts, audits, record keeping, processing inbound and outbound shipments. The role is also responsible for the coordination and delegation of tasks to other frontline employees but not does manage employee performance.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Conducts daily counts and audits.
- Completes cycle counts.
- Enters inventory adjustments for the store on a daily basis.
- Ensures outbound shipments meet MEC’s internal standards.
- Prepares final outbound shipments.
- Evaluates and applies correct postage to outbound parcels.
- Co-ordinate's carriers.
- Ensures all records related to inventory adjustments, outbound/inbound shipments, store location management (offsite/rentals/demo ) are up to date and meeting MEC standards.
- Receives Inventory (trade) Purchase Order in the system.
- Completes inbound shipment preparation work and ensures receiving work package is ready to go when loads arrive.
- Responsible for receiving of completed inventory transfers.
- Co-ordinates daily tasks related to inventory management.
- Co-ordinates work of the following activities:

- Unloading of inbound Distribution Centre loads.
- Processing of inbound stock.
- Re-stocking.
- Backstock maintenance.
- Validates and monitors progress of tasks based on the priorities set for the day.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 1 years of working experience with customer service, inventory handling, or retail sales.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of retail inventory control, inventory handling, shipping and receiving processes.
- Open availability to work during different shifts.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, reach, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
