**Role Overview**:
As a Cash Receipt Administrator - File Opening in our Accounting Department at our Toronto office, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and providing essential support to our team. **Cash Receipt Administrator**:

- Handle payment discrepancies with both internal and external clients, providing prompt resolutions and exceptional customer service.
- Maintain professional relationships with lawyers and legal assistants to facilitate efficient financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the bank to resolve unallocated payments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Support the Supervisor, Accounts Receivable, in additional tasks as needed.

**File Opening Clerk**:

- Generate reports to identify potential client, legal, and business conflicts for new business intake and incoming legal professionals.
- Implement and maintain confidentiality screens to uphold data privacy and security.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all client/matter records, adhering to the firm's conflicts checking and file opening policies.
- Monitor compliance with Rules of Professional Conduct and Federal money laundering regulations.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding procedures for new and departing clients.
- Respond to general requests from internal clients to streamline processes.
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration/equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Up to 2 years of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable or general accounting experience a professional environment.
- Strong client service skills to build and maintain relationships
- Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external clients.
- Detail oriented and resourceful, with strong organizational and analytical ability
- Good judgement and a high degree of professionalism
- Working knowledge of Elite, 3E or other professional accounting software
