**Position Description**:
The Ophthalmology Program is expanding their Medical Imaging Specialists department This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in a fast paced environment, across clinic and surgical areas and has a passion for paediatric care. As an integral member of the multi-specialty healthcare team, the Medical Imaging Specialist will be responsible for the clinical and research imaging and ultrasound needs within the program which includes the ambulatory and surgical patient care setting. This role provides essential diagnostic and treatment progress information to the clinical team and is fundamental in providing high quality care to our Ophthalmology patients and families here at SickKids.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**
- Perform a wide range of ophthalmic digital imaging procedures including: fundus photography, IVFA, anterior and posterior segment, optical coherence tomography, slit lamp photography, external photography and videography, corneal topography, specular microscopy,A/B scan ultrasonography and UBM
- Perform hand-held imaging with RetCam and Bioptigen OCT which play an important role in the imaging of supine patients
- Be responsible for the quality and accuracy of images within the patient clinical care imaging database system
- Perform surgical and departmental public relations photography occasion

**Here's What You'll Need**
- Combination of education and experience with a degree/diploma in photography or in the ophthalmology field (ex: orthoptist or ophthalmic assistant)
- Evidence of working towards Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) certification and OCTc is highly desirable and expected completion within 1-2 years of starting role
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize work, and work well individually and within a team environment
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting required and data management an asset
- Knowledge of digital processing, video editing and design skills
- Understanding and/or interest in health issues and eye pathology an asset
- High level of professionalism
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills and ability to work successfully with a wide variety of healthcare team members
- Paediatric experience and/or comfort level with patients/families affected with disabilities an asset
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion
