**Intensive Services Clinician**

The Intensive Services Clinician (Clinician) offers direct support to children, youth, and their families who have been identified as having significant and complex mental health challenges. The Clinician utilizes a variety of clinical methodologies to provide assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, system navigation, connection to specialized services, psychotherapy, guidance, and advocacy through the entirety of the families’ work within the Strive Program.

The clinician will meet with children and families in their homes and other community settings. Through a leadership lens, the Clinician will support and guide the Family Mental Health Support Worker. The clinician will collaborate with the Family Mental Health Support Worker to write treatment plans, support family goals and offer in-home and community-based support services. The Strive program clinician will also work actively with local and regional partners to provide a wrap-around approach that emphasize on the provision of low-barrier, accessible and individualized mental health care. Finally, the clinician will play an active role in program development, service evaluation, parent education, and skills-based training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year university degree in social sciences
- Registered with a relevant Ontario College whose members may practice psychotherapy
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children/youth and their families
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor
- In-depth knowledge of various treatment modalities specific to working with children and their families presenting with acute and complex mental health issues, i.e., Strength-Based Perspective, Family Systems Theory, CBT, and Trauma-Informed approaches to care with the demonstrated ability to integrate clinical approaches into practice
- Prior training and supervision related to practice and integration of psychotherapy knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated Crisis Intervention skills
- Clinical experience and knowledge in the delivery of group-based interventions
- Fluently bilingual
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Knowledge of community resources
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- CPR and First Aid training

DESCRIPTION DE LA POSITION

Le rôle du clinicien(ne) des services intensifs consiste à fournir un soutien direct aux familles et aux enfants ou jeunes identifiés comme ayant avec des problèmes significatifs et complexes en santé mentale. Le ou la clinicien(ne) fournit une variété de modalités de services tels que l’évaluation de la problématique, l’élaboration des plans de soins, l’intervention thérapeutique, la navigation du système et la liaison aux services spécialisés et la psychothérapie. Il guide, soutien et promouvoir pour les membres de la famille tout au long de leur cheminement dans le cadre du programme STRIVE.

Dans une optique de leadership, le ou la clinicien(ne) soutiendra et guidera la travailleuse de soutien familial en santé mentale. Le ou la clinicien(ne) collaborera avec la travailleuse de soutien familial en santé mentale pour rédiger des plans de traitement, soutenir les objectifs familiaux et offrir des services de soutien à domicile et dans la communauté. Le ou la clinicien(ne) du programme Strive travaillera également activement avec des partenaires locaux et régionaux pour proposer une approche globale mettant l'accent sur la fourniture de soins de santé mentale à faible barrière, accessibles et individualisés. Enfin, le ou la clinicien(ne) jouera un rôle actif dans l'élaboration de programmes, l'évaluation des services, l'éducation des parents et la formation basée sur les compétences, selon les besoins.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Diplômé d'un programme universitaire agréé en travail social
- Membre de l'Ordre des travailleurs sociaux de l'Ontario et vaste connaissance de la théorie, de la pratique et des règlements du travail social établis par l'Ordre
