Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team at Cornwall Physiotherapy. As a Kinesiologist, you will be responsible for performing biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments, designing and implementing exercise programs, and teaching exercise classes to seniors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify client needs and goals
  • Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to help clients achieve their goals
  • Teach exercise classes to seniors in a Retirement Residence in Westboro
  • Perform biweekly reassessments of client progress through functional testing
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
  • Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Requirements

  • Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario
  • Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program
  • New grads are welcomed to apply
  • Preferably with 1-5 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset
