Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kinesiologist to join our team at Cornwall Physiotherapy. As a Kinesiologist, you will play a critical role in helping our clients achieve their health and wellness goals through evidence-based exercise programs and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized exercise programs.
  • Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to promote client recovery and return to work.
  • Teach exercise classes to seniors and other clients, promoting healthy lifestyle habits and independence.
  • Perform biweekly reassessments of client progress through functional testing and adjust exercise programs as needed.
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts and work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures, as well as one-on-one education sessions, to promote client understanding and engagement.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Work cooperatively with clients and employers to develop and implement return-to-work plans, promoting successful reintegration into the workforce.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
  • Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program.
  • New graduates welcome to apply.
  • Preferably 1-5 years of work experience in Occupational Rehabilitation, although not required.
