A wildly successful Employees Relations Specialist will be someone with strong problem solving, consulting and organizational skills.

**What will you be doing?**
- Provide high quality consultation to management across the organization on strategies and approaches to manage complex employee issues.
- Conduct employee investigations independently or in liaison with internal Branch Audit team in accordance with Company standards; professionally documenting findings and recommendations for appropriate resolution for review by Senior Leadership while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
- Oversee and support management team with performance management activity including: performance issues, progressive discipline/corrective action up to and including termination. This includes creating and/or reviewing documentation to support performance discussions (Written Warnings, Performance Improvements Plans, etc.).
- Partner with other teams within human resources to leverage employee relations insights to enhance training programs, onboarding, talent acquisition, rewards, culture.
- Manage communication with employees on leave of absence and facilitate return to work plans.
- Coordinate with management team on Health & Safety matters including workplace injury situations.
- Assist employees and management with the interpretation of Company policies and respond to inquiries and concerns.
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to management to enhance their people management capability.
- Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with provincial employment laws.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**What experience do you have?**
- University/college degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ Employee Relations or HR Generalist experience.
- Strong Knowledge of provincial Employment Standards legislation, Human Rights, Health and Safety legislation and other applicable employment law.
- Broad experience in policy and legislation interpretation, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment and sensitivity in dealing with employee situations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills and attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines and sensitive projects.
- Experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders across the company.
- Advanced computer skills, and knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems is preferred.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
