**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY** - The Dispatch Specialist will schedule incoming service requests by contacting service technicians, clients and account managers to ensure our clients receive superior customer care through our maintenance service process.

The Dispatch Specialist will ensure every job is completed in a timely manner and document the transactions. You will escalate repair related issues to your manager when necessary. This role is integral to the Maintenance team’s efficient operation.

The Dispatch Specialist will receive direction from the Operations Manager and support from the Account Managers.

You are an active listener with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can remain calm for callers. You have a proven ability to process high volumes of work with a high degree of attention to detail. You are also able to multi-task at times with competing priorities.

You understand the value of following procedures and regulations in a stressful situation.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls
- Provide field Mechanics information about orders, traffic conditions and possible obstacles
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Record call details and related activities into computer systems
- Load balance Work Orders to optimize service level and reduce non-scheduled overtime
- Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
- Monitor field Mechanics’ routes and status to coordinate and prioritize work schedules

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced dispatch role (public or private sectors)
- Knowledge of the City of Toronto and surrounding GTA communities
- Excellent customer service skills
- 35 wpm or better typing speed
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Preferred: APCO Training & Certification

**WORK SCHEDULE**
- Full time position
- Start Date: Immediate
- 8-hr shift
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

**REQUIRED CONDITIONS**
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Have access to reliable transportation to commute from home to the office
