**Research Manager - IPERC**:
**Description**

**Primary Purpose**: The Indigenous Peoples Engagement and Research Council (IPERC) Research Manager is expected to be a visionary leader who represents the IPERC and Pewaseskwan to the public and its stakeholders. Reporting to the Principal Investigator(s), the Research Manager will lead the management and coordination of research and project activities related to the IPERC. This person will further develop program objectives and reports; assist with grant development and implementation regarding the Council’s goals. The Research Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day work and supervision of all project staff.

**Accountabilities**
- Provide seamless project management support for the Principal Investigator(s), including communicating with team members and stakeholders, as well as organizing meetings;
- Supervise, support and coordinate the activities of other research personnel;
- Provide research support for the IPERC;
- Responsible for the overall effective performance of the IPERC, ensuring the attainment of planned deliverables within budget resources.
- documents, reports, literature reviews and funding proposals, both independently and in collaboration with the IPERC team and key stakeholders;
- Ensure the decisions of the Principal Investigator(s) are administered effectively;
- Develop, prepare and present annual or official reports to funding agencies, key external stakeholders and university leadership/administration;
- Ensure high-quality conduct of studies as per regulations stipulated by the Tri-Council and other granting agencies, Research Ethics Boards, and other oversight and regulatory bodies, and uplifting Indigenous research philosophies and methodologies, including data sovereignty;
- Develop new and promote existing research alliances to further the interests, objectives and goals of the IPERC;
- Develop solid, collaborative relationships within the communities in Saskatchewan, nationally and internationally, to meet the Council’s activities and project goals.
- Participate in relevant committees at the organizational, regional, and national levels.

**Qualifications**

**Education**: A level of education equivalent to a Master’s degree in a related health or business discipline from a recognized program.

**Experience**: A minimum of five years of directly related experience in research administration. Knowledge of the University of Saskatchewan policies and procedures, including the UniFi System (or equivalent), will be considered an asset. Demonstrated leadership experience in the research environment and among Indigenous peoples/nations is also considered a strong asset for this position. Specifically, project management, including successful collaborations with community and university stakeholders, authorship of academic publications, proposals and/or reports and supervising staff, will be considered vital assets.

This position requires technical and policy knowledge, an ability to deal with competing priorities and deadlines, and personal initiative and judgment. It will suit an individual who is creative, innovative, versatile, and committed to upholding standards of equity, transparency, consistency and accuracy in forging a vital Indigenous presence in this space.

**Salary**: The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $64,107.00 - 100,169.00 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
