The role of a Mortgage Specialist, Client Accounts is that of a direct telephone/virtual meeting sales professional. The role is responsible for building a book of present
- and future-day opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound call activity to existing client portfolios to source new sales opportunities (i.e. refinances, subsequent advance, etc.).
MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Utilizes proactive lead management and consultative selling skills to advise and offer solutions to existing HomeEquity Bank clients, by providing them an opportunity to access additional funds from their mortgage.
- Responsible for the client-facing sales interactions of our direct-to-consumer ancillary business; explores potential business development opportunities within the existing portfolio to uncover a client’s need to refinance, draw subsequent advances, and any other business opportunities as presented
- Knowledge and understanding must be translated into a positive client experience, pairing client need with appropriate HomeEquity Bank solutions
- Proactive management of excel and lead mining
- Continuous learning
- product knowledge, selling skills and relationship management techniques

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Qualifications**:

- Requires a thorough understanding of the Bank’s entire mortgage product suite and business processes, as relates to Subsequent Advances and Refinances.
- Post-secondary education or approved equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual English/French is an asset
- Consultative sales experience is an asset
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is preferred
