**The Role**
The Manager, People and Culture will work closely with the Director, People and Culture to execute Pedalheads' strategy and Magnet Culture goals. This includes the development and implementation of the HR strategic plan, performance management programs, compensation and benefits programs, recruitment and retention, employee relations, health & safety and internal communications.
There is an opportunity for the Manager, People and Culture to be mentored and promoted into a leadership role within the next two years.
This position will be based out of the Vancouver, BC office.
**Your Responsibilities**
In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build in this role, you'll also:
- Lead projects and executes strategies that align to the business objectives for Pedalheads in Canada and the US.
- Provide leadership and counsel to all employees, building effective relationships to foster a strong workplace culture.
- Give recommendations, provide insight and ensure best practices on human resources initiatives.
- Supervise, mentor, and oversee the activities of the People and Culture Administrator.
- Provide guidance and advise on employee relations issues, leads investigations through to resolution.
- Work with Manager, Recruitment to fulfill full cycle recruitment of corporate salaried positions.
- Maintain policies and procedures that ensures compliance with provincial and state employment legislation.
- Lead the Health and Safety Committee, conducting monthly meetings, and promoting safety in the workplace.
- Manage accident/incident investigations and follow through.
- Evaluate key HR metrics to identify trends, inform strategy, and identify areas of improvement.
- Other activities include: compensation and benefits planning, performance review process, internal communications, training and development and leading our fun committee.
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- 5 to 10 years' experience in Human Resources, minimum 2 years in a management position
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resource Management
- CPHR designation
- Experience working in high volume, multi-site and Canada and US operations an asset
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now
- Experience in payroll an asset
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Office 365, applicant tracking software and HRIS systems
