As a People & Culture Generalist, you provide support in all aspects of Human Resources, partnering with the entire People & Culture (P&C) department to build a platform for our people to perform at their best. The People & Culture Business Partner team operates in strategic partnership with the business, driving the continuous evolution of people and leadership practices and fostering a culture that generates high performance teams, strengths-based coaching, and values-based leadership.

**If you were the People & Culture Generalist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Educating and coaching employees and people leaders proactively on all People & Culture related topics
- Seeking to identify and solve the root cause of employee relations issues and foster a positive work environment, with the guidance and support of the People and Culture Business Partners
- Playing a key role in ensuring our systems, including Workday, reflect accurate and up-to-date information
- Supporting people leaders in writing job descriptions, ensuring consistent language that reflects our brand, values, culture, and behavioural expectations across all positions
- Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislative requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
- Preparing offers, reports, and company letters
- Partnering with employees and People Leaders to support and manage leave requests
- Tracking, reporting, and recommending improvements for policies and processes
- Contributing to policy development and writing, and supporting communication and roll-out plans to employees globally
- Providing guidance, direction, and advice to People Leaders and employees regarding employment-related issues including, but not limited to, company policies & procedures, recruitment processes, performance management, and terminations
- Collaborating with the P&C Coordinator and other teams within the organization to maintain a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
- Leading the off-boarding process for departing employees
- Supporting the Business Partnership team with ad hoc requests as needed

- Facilitating the movement of people talent within the organization based on operational changes and needs
- Providing headcount projection and strategic workforce planning support, when applicable
- Reviewing compensation with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers to determine offer details

**Are you our next People & Culture Generalist?**:

- You have a degree or diploma in a related field
- You 3+ years of experience in a multifaceted business-facing HR role
- You have experience and the ability to build relationships and get up to speed quickly on the needs of the business and offer solutions and best practices
- You have a solid knowledge of human resources functions, processes, and procedures, including, but not limited to recruitment, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, and policy development
- You have strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- You have the ability to multi-task with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- You exercise good judgment and consistently operate as an ambassador of the company (leading by example)
- You have the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal appropriately with sensitive issues
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment
- Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
