**Position**:Digital Collections and Reference Librarian**

(35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm)

**Reports to**: Director, Library and Information Services

**Salary**: Associate Librarian (Starting from Step 1 - $64,831)

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Builds and curates online resources to support teaching, research and clinical practice at CMCC.
- Promotes and monitors the use of electronic collections and prepares statistics and reports.
- Manages the integration of electronic resources into the library’s Discovery system and develops web-based LibGuides.
- Manages and updates both the library’s site on the institutional learning management system (Canvas) and the library website.
- Provides in-personal and virtual reference and research support in a thorough and timely manner.
- Conducts expert literature searches in health sciences databases (Medline/PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, etc.) and point-of-care tools (DynaMed, BMJ Practice).
- Consults students and faculty on bibliographic management and issues related to scholarly communication and publishing.
- Works collaboratively with library colleagues, faculty and clinicians to maintain a curriculum-integrated Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) instruction across all four years of the chiropractic program.
- Designs, delivers and evaluates in-person and online information literacy instruction to undergraduate students and orientation sessions for new faculty and clinicians.
- Assists with developing online learning modules for library instruction.
- Participates in budget process for collection resources development.
- Participates in the Education Technology Committee and other focused committees and working groups.
- Coordinates and provides Technical Services staff with collection development tasks and archival assignments.
- Undertakes ongoing professional development to support position.

**Qualifications**:

- A master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library program.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in a health sciences library setting, preferably in an academic library.
- Demonstrated experience with information sources and technologies and online tools, such as health sciences databases and information sources, learning management systems, institutional repository software, LibGuides, reference management tools, video creation and editing software, and library discovery systems.
- Completion of Teacher Education Program course (offered by CMCC) within the timeframe stipulated by CMCC.
- Proven excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
