**Job Description**:
Benefits Administrator

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Communicate with employees, field HR, benefit partners and people leaders regarding all aspects of benefits administration (health, dental, insurance and retirement) in adherence to benefit policies and procedures.
- Administer benefits and retirement plan in accordance with plan design, carrier contract and standardized operating procedures.
- Facilitates new hire and add hoc benefits training sessions and assist in development of employee education.
- Collaborate with benefit plan providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to resolve any identified service or claim related issues.
- Support annual benefits enrolment activities.
- Support year end reporting on taxable benefits.
- Identify reporting requirements to effectively audit, report financials and plan details to make informed decisions.
- Support the development and implementation of HRIS system modifications to accommodate new benefits or plan choices.
- Collaborate with internal partners to generate vendor payments and retirement plan contributions.
- Audit data integrity of internal system in relation to carrier system to ensure accuracy of coverage.
- Create and update process documentation as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Completion of a post-secondary HR diploma or degree program, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of benefits experience with understanding of legislation.
- Previous experience with Workday preferred
- Strong organizational skills to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with team and external stakeholders in a positive manner to build strong relationships.
- Keen sense of confidentiality for sensitive information
- Excellent analytical and Excel skills to assess data and report findings.
