Patient Experience Coordinator/ Medical Receptionist

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Providing the highest standard of customer service to patients.
- Answer/return incoming phone calls
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone call and in-person.
- Greet patients and check them in upon arrival
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Taking payments and billing directly to third party providers, including private insurances, ICBC and WSBC. Preparing and approving financial statements, as well as completing insurance forms.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, patient care area along with laundry in a timely manner.
- Follow office protocols and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Other administrative and secretarial support duties as designated by superior.

Minimum Requirements:

- Grade 12/ GED
- Proficiency with English and Punjabi
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in paramedical billing for third party providers, including private insurances, ICBC and WSBC.
- Effective communication skills. Must communicate well with practitioners, co-workers and patients who are new to our clinic and also our long standing patients.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Have the ability to accept constructive criticism knowing that it comes from a place of care and a desire to see you do your best
