The Services provided by the Director of Occupational Health and Safety at Onni Group include responsibility for the overall safety compliance culture of all operations within Onni Group, Capilano Properties, Level, Capwest, and Onni Energy, including all its subsidiaries on site or cooperate within the Canada and the US.

**What You Will Do**:
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance of all workplace safety policies, legislation, and procedures in accordance with WSBC, OSHA and all other relevant regulatory and safety standard in all regions.
- Always ensure Company adherence of protocols and comply with new regulations issued by health authorities during events such as pandemics and other health emergencies.
- Lead team structure and directly manage all safety related employees daily to ensure all personnel are fully trained and are up to date with any required safety certificates and courses as required.
- Ensure safe operations of all but not limited to Construction activities, Forming, Steel Stud Drywall, Cooperate and Hospitality sectors.
- Provide safety reports, assessments as required including Hazmat reports as required.
- Provide personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.
- Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are all current and up to date.
- Overseeing the company's daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety procedures.
- Perform and ensure follow up of safety audits and physically inspections of all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issues and improvements.
- Ensure compliance of company safety policies and review subtrade safety manuals as required.
- Build safety first culture to ensure smooth day to day operations of all company activities.
- Conduct risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, or long-term health hazards.
- Reviewing all accident investigations to determine corrective action and verify that follow up
- action has been taken according to jurisdictional requirements.
- Communicate with safety authority during incident proceedings.
- Preparing monthly and annual safety reports, prepare a 30/60/90-day initial safety operations plan.
- Point person for communication with safety authority during incident proceedings.
- Lead claims process and ensure they are being handled with urgency and accuracy.
- Ensure correct management and certification of all equipment and materials.
- Any other duties assigned by manager.
**What You Will Bring**:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Safety role particularly with fall protection/working at heights, working on large scale projects with multiple sub-trades
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
- Certified Regional Safety Professional or equivalent OHS diploma
- Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) audit expereince.
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Strong documentation capacity with the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
