**Position Type: Indefinite Full-time Contract** to start June 2024

**Work Schedule**:37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00 (Occasional Evenings/ Weekends for special events)
**Salary**:$22.11 - $25.96/hour
**Immediate Supervisor**:Finance Manager
**Language Requirement**:English Mandatory; French a Strong Asset

**The Role(s)**
Under the direction of the Finance Manager the Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for duties related to the day-to-day administration of the PMFRC human resources office. The position maintains human resource practices and objectives that align with the PMFRC’s Human Resources Policy. They will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, and goal attainment, in addition to the ongoing development of a high-quality workforce. They coordinate and implement the services, and programs related to all human resources processes.
**Desired Knowledge, Education and Experience**
- Degree or certification in human resources, or a related field, AND
- Two years’ experience providing support in personnel administration, personnel management, recruitment, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of internal policies, processes, initiatives, and reporting of HR matrixes.
- Experience in facilitating recruitment, training and employee onboarding
- Working knowledge of various Ontario legislation and regulations (Employment Standards Act, WSIB, and benefits and compensation programs).
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a strong multitasker
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

- Maintain a solid understanding of all policies and procedures, assist supervisors and employees with benefits, orientation, and employee status change, as well as support with the interpretation of HR policies, benefit programs and procedures.
- High degree of personal initiative with good planning and organizational skills; multi-tasking is essential.
- Proven ability to show initiative, prioritize independent and department work, meet tight deadlines and make daily decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within both an inter-disciplinary team and in a self-directed environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills under all types of conditions, exhibiting a supportive positive approach, and sensitivity and tact in dealing with people under stressful situations.
**Special Requirements**
- Adhere to all PMFRC policies and procedures including policies regarding privacy code and confidentiality.
- Participate/ assist with all special events when required.
- Provide proof of any applicable registration with the respective regulatory body if applicable.
- Occasional extended workday and/or occasional evening or weekend as required.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check, obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance, and vulnerable sector screening (current within 6 months).
- Valid Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for work related travel and requisite driver’s insurance.
- Travel within the County of Renfrew.
