About you

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software
  • Qualified experience as Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
  • Equivalent or more advanced CompTIA A+ certification
  • To be able to work in Petawawa
  • To be a Canadian citizen who has or is able to acquire a Secret-level security clearance

About the role

If hired, you will:

  • Prepare training simulators for events, ensuring realistic scenarios and operational readiness
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and address user-reported issues, providing on-call support
  • Schedule maintenance to minimize disruption to training schedules
  • Assist in integrating new parts and features into the simulators
  • Respond to incidents requiring urgent adjustments or part replacements, minimizing downtime
  • Train users on the effective operation of static and deployable systems
  • Coordinate technical support, manage equipment, schedule system use, and report on usage and maintenance
