**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Reporting to the Managers of Clinical Services, the Clinical Practice Lead (CPL) is responsible for providing clinical leadership, and oversight of the multiple therapy modalities used by The Newly. The CPL will also provide training, mentorship, and consultation to new and existing employees working in a therapist capacity. Lastly, the CPL, alongside management, will take an active role in the research and development of clinical policies.

**Accountabilities**:
**_
Clinical Leadership_**
- Oversee the quality of therapeutic services offered by The Newly Institute, ensuring clients receive proper therapeutic processes and outcomes. This may include but is not limited to file audits, case conferences, and revision of outcome data
- Make clinical decisions such as therapy recommendations, client/therapist assignments, and return to work restrictions. These decisions will be backed by evidence-based rationale, with the inclusion of management when necessary
- Revise, amend, and adapt group material based on clinic and client needs, and client & employee feedback

**_Training and mentorship_**
- Provide education and clinical mentorship to members of the multidisciplinary team
- Facilitate weekly case consults, and clinic rounds
- Facilitate opportunities for team debrief, reflective practice, and in-services
- Collaborate with Management and Human Resources with clinician recruitment and orientation processes
- Assist the Managers of Clinical Services in the development and execution of training protocols
- Provide mentorship to existing and new clinics as needed

**_Policy and Procedure Development_**
- Identify areas/topics needing policy development
- Collaborate with staff, CPL team, and management to create evidence-based policies and procedures
- Collaborate with management and staff to implement, and review effectiveness of new policies and procedures

**_Administration_**
- Timely completion of notes and charting responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with stakeholders, third-party funders, and other community partners
- Collaborate with admin team for review of daily schedule, ensure balance workload and effective therapist/client assignment
- Ensure proper implementation of rotating therapist model, communicate any scheduling restrictions to admin team

**_Supervision_**

This role provides clinical leadership to:

- Psychologist
- Occupational Therapist
- Social Worker
- Nursing

Other responsibilities related to the role and scope of work may be assigned.

**WHAT YOU BRING**

**_ Education_**
- Masters Degree in Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy

**_ Experience_**
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field of addiction and mental health is required
- Any experience with individual, group & family psychosocial intervention and counselling is an asset
- Any experience with Complex PTSD is an asset
- Any experience working with a collaborative team and consulting with other professionals
- Any experience in clinical leadership and policy/procedure development is an asset
- Any experience in training, coaching and/or mentoring a multidisciplinary team is an as
