**COMPLIANCE**

Using their strong background in municipal, provincial, and federal legislation and procedures, the Compliance Analyst (FOIP) helps NorQuesters feel safe that their information is protected and used appropriately.
**HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**
- Activities related to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) requests including the collection, chronological ordering, preliminary assessment of, consultation on, and redaction of records.
- Complete simple Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), privacy breaches investigations, notification statements, corrections of personal information, and FOIP requests at an analyst level, handing complex activities to the Compliance Consultant.
- Provide advice to questions regarding existing information access and privacy processes.
- Coordinate and track Personal Information Banks (PIB) housed within the College.
- Upload and maintain a centralized holding of digital resources related to the protection of privacy and access to information.
- Develop workflows to enable digitization and/or automation of FOIP and Legislative Compliance related tasks.
- Maintain tracking information, including the dashboard used for reporting FOIP activities to the President & CEO, ensuring the accuracy of the source information.
- Develop and maintain the overall annual legislative compliance process.
- Review the annual legislatice compliance submissions for basic elements.
- Review federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and legal requirements and raise concerns, as appropriate, with the Compliance Consultant.
- Provide updates to the College on the current post-secondary legislative landscape.
- Maintain legislative compliance monitoring information, ensuring the accuracy of the source information.
**WHAT YOU BRING**
- A Master’s degree in any of the following would be an asset. An undergraduate degree in any of the following fields would be required: degree in Information Studies, Public Policy, Archives Studies, Library Studies, Political Studies, Political Science, or a relevant discipline is required.
- Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) certificate from the University of Alberta, or an equivalent from a recognized post secondary institution or a recognized professional association.
- If you don’t have this certification, you will need to be registered in at least one module and will be required to complete within 2 years.
- 3+ years’ experience in a directly related progressively responsible role including research, analysis, interpretation, and analysis of access and privacy legislation.
- Knowledge of FOIP Act, PIPA, Canadian legislation, and legislative and parliamentary procedures.

**SALARY**:$61,635 - $80,033 annually** **reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
