**The Role: Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator (Full Time)**

The Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator works within the community to find and recruit Foster Families. The Foster Care Recruitment Coordinator supports the on-boarding of the Fostering families, and supporting their needs throughout this process while ensuring regulation and compliance.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Actively work to find and recruit families who want to join the Foster Care community.
- Attend community events aimed at building brand awareness and knowledge of the services offered.
- Evaluate Foster Parents suitability for the role.
- Manage social media and online presence aimed at recruitment of Foster Families.
- On-boarding Foster Parents
- support while completing trainings, account set up, home study scheduling, assess homes for pre-licensing visits/
- Provide support, guidance, leadership and supervision of foster families including the pre-licensing visit.
- Manage crisis situations.
- Liaison with Child and Family Services.
- Complete foster parent home studies using SAFE Model.
- Maintain and review files to accreditation standards.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Other duties as required.

**Knowledge and Skills Expectations**
- Degree or a Diploma in Human Services field with two years experience working with children, youth and families; a combination of Certificate and related experience may be considered
- Knowledge and understanding in the areas of trauma, attachment and grief & loss
- Knowledge of child development and the impact of environment and organic factors
- Experience in an adult support role is an asset
- Knowledge of program development, program evaluation and case management assessment
- Excellent problem solving, mediation and conflict resolution, organization, collaboration, communication, and assessment skills.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Established public speaking skills
- Advanced case management skills

**Reporting Relationship**:
This position directly reports to a Trellis Program Manager.
