**The Opportunity**
Metro Testing + Engineering is expanding its horizons with exciting new projects, and our management team seeks a seasoned professional to join our ranks. We are on the lookout for an **Asphalt Concrete Expert** to lead our Pavement & Infrastructure operation. This role goes beyond ensuring the efficiency of the laboratory and field operations - it is about setting a new standard for service delivery, maintaining precision to exceed client expectations, and guiding our teams to fulfill our unwavering commitment.

From concrete, asphalt, and soil testing, we have expanded our expertise to include specialty testing, materials engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, concrete restoration, and quality assurance certification. **What you will get**

**What you will be doing**
- Provide overall strategy to business and financial operations in the Asphalt/Soils/Aggregate Testing group
- Meeting with clients regularly to review and improve our level of service and commitment
- Work with Business Development team in developing new proposals
- Representing Metro Testing + Engineering at industry conferences
- Work with clients to resolve technical and construction problems
- Maintain ideal staffing levels to meet operational requirements
- Review and sign off final testing reports
- Provide guidance to supervisors and managers
- Review and establish new Standard Operating Procedures on all aspects of material sampling, testing, and reporting when needed
- Oversee professional development and training programs
- Oversee Continuous Lab Improvement projects
- Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
**Who we are looking for**
- Graduate of a Civil Engineering Program
- Professional designation is an asset (AscT/P.Eng)
- 10+ years of experience in asphalt/construction materials testing + engineering
- 5+ years of experience in managing field and lab material testing operations
- Experience in business development and proposal writing
- Extensive knowledge in testing procedures and asphalt mix designs
- CCIL/ACI certified or able to obtain certification
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
