Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (KCCIHS), formerly the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences (ACOS), is a well-established post-secondary College since 1996. KCCIHS is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. The heart of KCCIHS lies in our amazing teaching faculty and students. Our faculty consists of passionate individuals, many of whom run successful private practices or have decades of experience working in their modalities.
**Job Overview**:
The Campus Director is a high-level administrator responsible for overseeing the operations of a college campus. Provide vision and leadership in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and services to support the academic mission of Excel Career College. The Campus directors work closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that the campus is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. The Campus Director is responsible for managing budgets, developing strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with provincial PTIB regulations as well as IRCC. Additionally, the campus director is responsible for managing the facilities, supporting of student events, and working with other departments within the campus. The Campus Director possesses strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of higher education administration.
**Responsibilities**:
- Establishes and maintains a safe, effective learning climate in the college by managing student behavior, attendance, social-emotional supports and college safety programs.
- Monitors instructor and student success in classes by formal observation.
- Develops and coordinates the college's classroom schedules, including blended-learning and/or online learning environments.
- Ensures coordination of effective instructional programs with a master schedule.
- Demonstrates positive, collaborative leadership and participates in collegial problem solving in a variety of situations and departments, emphasizing teamwork and beneficial effects on student learning.
- Ensures students, staff and community are aware of the unique services and programs available through college pathways.
- Ensure the admissions department is providing students with correct recruitment information including; program content, prerequisite, employment opportunities and job placement opportunities.
- Supports with community, corporate and grant partnerships that would bring additional opportunities to students beyond those provided through the campus budgets.
- Works collaboratively with feeder middle schools to facilitate vertical alignment.
- Works with the accounting department to approval textbooks orders, campus technology orders as well as all campus supply orders.
- Implements an accountability system with all staff members, providing expectations for an orderly atmosphere, holding data discussions with staff, and adapting to the needs of the current situation by seeking input.
- Utilizes the accountability process and involves and reports to senior management as appropriate.
- Organizes campus operations around improvement of instruction by maintaining safe and orderly environments.
- Supervises the ordering, inventory, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Analyzes program facilities, equipment, and materials and makes recommendations for needed changes.
- Manages campus facilities, develops disaster, safety, crisis, and evacuation plans, and ensures the security of buildings.
- Hires, supervises and evaluates campus staff. Ensures adequate and effective staffing to carry out program priorities.
- Facilitates hiring and evaluation of specialty instructors as needed by each program.
- Prepares and supervises the campus budget. Oversees budget and resource allocation for the campus.
**Qualifications**:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Demonstrated track record in leadership positions within educational institutions or analogous contexts.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management, with a strong acumen in fiscal oversight.
- Outstanding communication prowess and adept interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of inspiring and motivating faculty, staff, and students effectively.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education
- Familiarity with accreditation criteria and procedural requirements.
**Salary**: $70.00-$75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
