**Purpose**:
The Manager, GBP Analytics contributes to the overall success of Global Business Payments by creating and executing its data, business intelligence and analytics strategy. This includes ownership and oversight for sales, product and operations KPIs, reporting, insights, and revenue opportunities. The role is highly technical and requires expert knowledge of data practices, analytical methodologies as well as Microsoft Power BI. Incumbent possesses strong technical, financial and analytical skills as well as the ability to communicate to a broad audience including Scotiabank executives. The incumbent also possesses leadership skills as well strong knowledge of GBP products, services and operations.
**Accountabilities**:
- Turn data into opportunity - Identifies new revenue opportunities, reduced costs and improved operational efficiencies
- Executes and track leads, prospects for Sales and Product partners
- Ownership of Microsoft Power BI reports which serve as the primary portal and one-stop shop for all GBP data consumers in order to access self-serve dashboards, insights, leads, product campaigns, product analysis and more
- Provides solid analytics and insights to Sales, Product, Channels, CS&O, PayMod, Correspondent Banking and Deposit teams in order to drive revenue, execute against product campaigns, improve the customer experience and protect the Bank
- Provide strong leadership to direct reports to motivate both individual and team performance and foster a commitment to Scotiabank’s Values and our Customers
- Develop staff by sharing knowledge/experience and provide opportunities for staff to share responsibility for achieving bank and department objectives/goal
- Act as a centre of excellence for GBP, training users in Microsoft Power BI, acting their own trusted advisors for all things data analytics
- Provide reporting on employee measurement (Sales, Product, etc) where applicable in order to foster a performance-based culture
- Work in alignment with the Customer Insights, Data and Analytics, Data Office, GBM Client Insights and Analytics, GBM Analytics Execution, Small Business Analytics as well as Commercial Banking Analytics and Business Planning teams
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Expert Microsoft Power BI skills
- Experience with big data technology (Hadoop, Hive, SQL etc.)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM
- Undergraduate degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, finance, mathematics, statistics etc.)
- University degree in relevant Business, Finance or STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
