**Job Description** ABOUT US**
NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe. This includes a rich library of more than 6,000 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.
**ROLE OVERVIEW**
The role of VP, Sales & Distribution, Canada will drive revenue and maximize value for NBCU’s current and future slates as well as its library content across both English
- and French-speaking Canada. The role will have key individual budget responsibility and will involve managing collaborative cross-functional partnerships as part of the deal-making and sales administration process. It will also play an integral part in managing and executing on the medium
- to long-term growth strategy for the territory. As such the role would be suited to a seasoned sales executive with robust experience in both content distribution and team management.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with key clients across Canada to drive a revenue portfolio comprised of both volume & output deals
- Leverage knowledge of the global media landscape, key North American players and existing relationship-building skills to maximize content monetization for the Canadian business
- Implement strategies to drive new revenue streams including participation in high-level deal negotiations, pitches to potential partners and drafting of business plans and analyses
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional groups, partners and internal stakeholders
- In particular, work closely with our Marketing, Research and product groups to create and build effective pitch and sales & marketing materials customized and targeted to specific Canadian clients and platforms in a timely manner
- Effectively utilize performance and pricing data to monetize content in partnership with the Sales Strategy team
- Execute on the distribution sales strategy on a title-by-title basis for the Canadian territory
- Oversight of contract administration and sales operations for Canada, including, including two direct reports
- Work with senior executives across Global Distribution to develop and execute the overall distribution strategy as well as build the distribution business

**Qualifications** BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least 10 years’ experience in content sales, at least 5 of which leading a P&L and managing teams
**DESIRED CHARACTERISTIC**
- Experience leading multi-territory customer relationships and/or multi-territory deal management and negotiation
- Experience building and leading high performing teams
- Strong commercial acumen, proven track record of driving revenue growth in the entertainment sector
- Excellent written/oral communication, influencing and coordination skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse international team and in a fast-paced environment, judiciously pivoting between team, business and customer needs
- Proactive and culture-focused leadership style with experience of driving employee engagement and development
- A passion for film and television content & the evolving filmed entertainment industry
- A willingness to seek feedback, invest in own learning and personal development, and to be advocate for growth and development across the team you lead
