**THE HOTEL**:
**HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS TORONTO DOWNTOWN - **Canada’s Largest Holiday Inn Express in Toronto Downtown. Strategically located in Old Town Toronto at Adelaide & Jarvis Streets, close to the Financial District and walking distance to Toronto’s finest attractions. Renovated in 2018, this 195 guestroom Hotel is strong in Group, FIT, Leisure, Sports and Corporate business mix.

**THE ROLE**:
**JOIN A DYNAMIC TEAM**

The Sales Manager position is responsible for executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction. Securing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts, promoting guestroom and services to maximize hotel revenue and client satisfaction. Negotiates contracts and agreements with a focus on sales controllable segments.

**ACTIVITIES**:
The duties of the Sales Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

- Implements effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize the generation of hotels’ sales/revenues.
- Actively acquire new business and maintain existing accounts through prospecting, planned sales calls, and solicitation
- Develop and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group business for room sales.
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters. Upon booking, prepare sales contracts, co-ordinate and follow-up with other hotel departments to ensure delivery of promised service as originally agreed upon.
- Assist Director of Sales in the development and update of the hotel-level business plans to include input on sales goals and plans that support the overall business and sales strategies of the company.
- Develop quarterly action plan that addresses priorities and quotas and achieve sales activities as outlined in the hotels/individual action plans.
- Participate in business and industry related organizations, representing Hotel in a professional manner.
- Coordinate and participate in sites and industry / trade functions and shows.
- Utilize Property Sales System to track, solicit and follow up on accounts.
- Participate in prescribed Hotel/Brand training and special projects.
- Be independently responsible for achievement of all objectives outlined in the action plans and budget.
- Utilize the Hotel’s Social Media Platforms to promote the Hotel in a Sales and branding capacity.
- Ensure effective yield management for group bookings produced and contracted.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
- Responsible for day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development and site inspections.
- Acknowledge and monitor competition's sales and marketing strategies and collect market and competitive intelligence to assist in developing strategic plan.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.

**COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING**:

- University degree and/or College diploma in Hospitality
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience or equivalent
- Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- May be required to work nights and weekends
- Will be required to work in fast-paced, stressful environment
