Reporting to the Senior Director of Health & Wealth, this team strives to elevate our employee experience through a flexible suite of health and wealth offerings that support our people to live their best lives, at every stage of their lives.
a day in the life
- Oversees the management, communication, analysis, and administration of Canada and USA leave and accommodations programs
- As this role is North America-focused, this role will have responsibility for monitoring and staying up to date on requirements of different municipalities of the North America Market (with support from cross-functional partners in Legal)
- Seeks regular feedback from stakeholders and cross-functional partners about our existing offerings to inform enhancements and changes in support of delivering the best employee experience ("signature experience"), at scale, starting from: requesting a leave, to taking time away from work, to returning to work
- Analyzes data provided by vendors (consultants, brokers, insurers) and holds vendors accountable for service delivery
- Collaborates with Policies and Practices team to ensure the maintenance of employee leave records and confidential medical information is in accordance with federal and state laws and internal policies
- Manages regular "wellbeing" reporting of NAM employee population (i.e., number of employees on short-term / long-term leaves, number of employees in any variety of care) with a bias for creating actionable adjustments and providing recommendations to improve wellbeing
- Partners with regional H&W Senior Managers on annual review and renewal of local market leaves policies
- Leads process for qualification, quantification, and selection of vendor services with direct involvement in negotiating product and service agreements
- Leads and develops team of Benefits Coordinators, Specialists, and Program Managers whose responsibilities will include the administration of leaves and accommodations processes (in collaboration with internal peers and external vendors)
qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Canadian and US leaves and accommodations legislation (8-10 years)
- Experience in providing consultation of the accommodation process to managers, people professionals, employees, and/or business partners
- Strong project management capabilities to develop and implement cross functional initiatives
- Deep interest in analysis and ability to drive sound decision-making
- Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact, discretion & confidentiality
